Experimental Analysis of HSLA Steel Welded Joint Fracture Behaviour

چکیده

In order to assess the integrity of welded pressure vessel containing a crack, behavior three-point bending specimens made HSLA steel joint are tested at -40°C, and their fracture behaviour analyzed, as conservative measure crack resistance. Specimens were low-alloyed NIONIKRAL 70, by SAW process. Surface notches machined electro-erosion method in parent metal (PM), heat affected zone (HAZ) weld (WM). The highest resistance cracking was PM, lowest one WM, due so-called pop-in behaviour.
